on Sunday, after 9 agonizing months of waiting, we welcomed baby elliott into our world. he is the most wonderfully, delicious bundle of joy i have ever laid eyes on. its almost scary the amount of love one feels upon becoming a mother, its a split instinct change. like one minute your a woman without a care, and the next you're this cautious, delicate, can-take-on-the-world-because-Ive-mastered-child-bearing mom. nothing can stand between me and him :) i cant help but stare at him all day long, his gaze is addicting, and when brandon comes home from work and finds me still in my 'jamas, holding the lovie, as if time stood still since he left, he understands, because he is as much in love with him as i am. there are times during the day when i feel as if i am going to burst inside, to the point where my heart couldn't possibly be more full, and then somewhere within it finds room to take in just a little bit more, like a bottomless cup. and although there have been, and will be many more, sleepless nights, i cant imagine my life before last sunday :)
